Walter Johnson Cafe

The Walter Johnson Cafe, named after the Hall of Fame pitcher and Humboldt native, offers elegant dining in a casual, vintage atmosphere.

The cafe’s embossed-tin ceiling, magnificent hardwood floor, reproductions of 1900s private railroad car sconces, and black-and-white photos of yesteryear—including one of Johnson himself decked out in his baggy, pinstriped baseball uniform—hearken back to a period of countryside innocence and charm.

The Walter Johnson Cafe also features fine oak tables and chairs, an espresso machine, and a women’s powder room decorated in an exquisite Art Nouveau theme.
